Follow and cross the river Irwell to explore some of Manchester and Salford's landmark sights, on a walk full of fascinating, quirky and surprising facts and stories.
This route uncovers the history on both banks of a short stretch of the river Irwell - from Victorian railway secrets and medieval traces, to bold regeneration, curious landmarks and moments of real poignancy. You’ll encounter a variety of architecture, hidden artworks, echoes of the American Wild West, and places where Manchester and Salford’s histories collide in fascinating ways. It’s a walk full of rich detail and surprising perspectives on two cities that have co-existed, side-by-side, for centuries.

Price - £15 per person / £10 for children under 16 / Children in prams or pushchairs free / No minimum charge.
Maximum number – 20 people. This is to ensure that quality is maximised and we do not cause congestion on Manchester’s streets.
Start and end point - Victoria Station concourse - next to the fibreglass bee sculpture.

Weather - the walk will go ahead in all weathers, please be prepared for. changeable conditions. However, if I were to cancel due to extreme weather, a full refund will be given.
