Take a trip to Deansgate Square, learn about its history and get close up to Manchester’s tallest skyscrapers – with lots to see en-route.
This walk takes you from the city centre to Manchester’s new high rise quarter, tracing how the area evolved from an industrial zone to one of the UK’s most dramatic clusters of skyscrapers. Along the way you’ll encounter striking public art, hidden waterways, unusual engineering features and a few surprising stories from the surrounding streets. It’s a lively, wide ranging route that builds towards a close up look at the towers themselves — including the tallest building in Britain outside London.

Price - £15 per person / £10 for children under 16 / Children in prams or pushchairs free / No minimum charge.
Maximum number – 20 people. This is to ensure that quality is maximised and we do not cause congestion on Manchester’s streets.
Start and end point - outside No 1 St Peter’s Square, in front of the Atrium Coffee & Community Shop (which is within No 1 SPS – its sign is in the window).
Accessibility - the route has many steps and uneven ground alongside a canal, so unfortunately much of it is not suitable for wheelchairs.
