This route uncovers the character and contrasts along and around a stretch of Oxford Street / Road, from striking architecture and hidden details, to rich local history. You’ll explore elegant façades, unusual landmarks, atmospheric corners and places linked to some of Manchester’s most remarkable scientific and cultural breakthroughs. It’s a fast moving, varied and engaging introduction to a part of the city where creativity, innovation and surprising stories sit side by side.

Duration - 1 hour 30 mins.
Price - £15 per person / £10 for children under 16 / Children in prams or pushchairs free / No minimum charge.
Maximum number – 20 people. This is to ensure that quality is maximised and we do not cause congestion on Manchester’s streets.
Starting point - outside No 1 St Peter’s Square, in front of the Atrium Coffee & Community Shop (which is within No 1 SPS – its sign is in the window).
End point - back in St Peter's Square.
Accessibility - the route has some steep steps and uneven ground, so unfortunately parts are not suitable for wheelchairs. Weather - the walk will go ahead in all weathers, please be prepared for. changeable conditions. However, if I were to cancel due to extreme weather, a full refund will be given.
