This walk covers a range of sights, including dazzling modern design, hidden histories and remarkable reinventions. From Venetian Gothic gems to sleek glass towers that almost vanish into the sky - the walk reveals how an area once notorious for slums became a £1.5bn architectural showcase. Along the way you’ll encounter curious carvings, bold artworks, unexpected characters and stories that bring the past vividly to life!

Duration - 1 hour 30 mins.

Price - £15 per person / £10 for children under 16. Minimum tour charge £60.

Maximum number – 20 people. This is to ensure that quality is maximised and we do not cause congestion on Manchester’s streets.

Starting point - Outside No 1 St Peter’s Square, in front of the Atrium Coffee & Community Shop (which is within No 1 SPS – its sign is in the window).

End point - Albert Square – near to the junction between John Dalton Street and Cross Street.

Accessibility - the route is mainly flat but does have some small steps in places. If you have any accessibility needs please contact me in advance to discuss, and I’ll ensure the route is tailored accordingly for you.

Dogs - are welcome.

Weather - The walk will go ahead in all weathers, please be prepared for. changeable conditions. However, if I were to cancel due to extreme weather, a full refund will be given.

Cancellations – please make cancellations no later than 24 hours before the tour is due to start. If you cancel after this time, a refund cannot be given.
